Here is how to use Coinbase Commerce, our current solution for accepting crypto payments:
On the checkout page, when you click “Proceed to Coinbase,” you will be taken to another screen that allows you to pay with crypto or sign in to your Coinbase account. If you do not have a Coinbase account please create one. You can create an account on the same page. You will be asked for your personal information including your name, date of birth, address, and the last four digits of your SSN. You will also be asked to connect your bank account. Once you connect your bank account, go on Coinbase through their website or app and purchase USD Coin (USDC) in the amount such that you have enough to pay for your order after fees. After you have purchased USD Coin to pay for your order, please return to the checkout for your Virilitech order and log in to your Coinbase account. On the checkout screen select “Pay with Coinbase.” You can now complete the payment by sending USD Coin from your Coinbase Wallet to Virilitech. Once you understand it and have been through the process it is very easy and straightforward.
It is also recommended that you familiarize yourself with crypto payments that don’t use Coinbase so that you can send your payment directly to us in case Coinbase Commerce is shut down like every other payment method we have tried to use. You can purchase crypto from an exchange like Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, etc. and send it directly to Virilitech by depositing it in our Bitcoin or Ethereum wallets.
